Tiffany sounds like an incredible woman. Splits here time between Alaska and Maui? Captains a cruise ship, cruises on dirt bikes and surfs? Geez, must be rough! ; )

Ben, you MUST go to that village! By way of skiff sounds like a fun little adventure in and of itself! I recently read a book about an artist who ventered into alaska on her own in the early 20th century to paint and preserve disappering totem poles through her art. She would interact with the natives and stay in their villages. I think you'd like the book. I'll try to find it (can't remember the title right this second).

How wonderful your parents came to visit! That's really a blessing Ben. My parents are too struck by "the culture of fear" to work up the courage to come visit me at my random locations. So, I hope you appreciate your parents' sense of travel and adventure!
