Ben,
I worked with your dad last year when Delta decided to sell a couple of buildings. You have a very cool dad by the way, or at least that’s my impression. He just shared this site with me a couple of days ago and now my wife and I are reading enviously every day. You take some great photographs.

This latest adventure really made me laugh regarding your comments on air travel, especially the clapping part. You know we talk about delays and measure airline performance that isn’t totally controlled by our operations. I couldn’t imagine operating an airline with planes hovering around their destination until space is available on the ground.

Good luck and be safe.

So great to hear your stories. Out of curiousity, what do these scarves you got for good luck look like? When I was in China, I was given several. They were white and silky and were meant as a welcome and as a blessing for the future.

Victory! Bring back some Everest brew so that I can sample the local fare. Cristina and I are doing a pub crawl in London in two weeks. My first real pub…… All is well on the Western front. Godspeed

Hi, Ben.
You’re doing a great job in these updates. I think I’ll start recommending them for students who want to go abroad.

Elon has a program called “Turning 21″ to celebrate students’ 21st birthday. When I’m invited to the event, I give the students a journal and encourage them to keep a record of their 21st year. I see now that your record is much more accessible and much more public. Maybe I should encourage them to keep a blog instead. Thanks for sharing this with me…and with the world.

I saw Jason King last Friday at Convivium. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to spend much time with him, but he seems to be doing well.

Thanks again, Ben. I look forward to your next entry.
Jim
