Hey Ben: it's about 9:15 on a Saturday night and I finally figured out how to look at
the photos from your West Coast Ride! They remind me so much of our trip too. It appears
that you had some similar weather. We rode from the beginning of Oct to about the middle of
Dec and except for horrific rain in Oregon (we cycled from Seattle to Mexico) we had great
weather in California for that time of year. One of the places where you camped looked just like
a place we stayed. We had a lot of trouble with the raccoons getting to our paniers and
stealing some of our food. We later figured out what the food boxes were for!! I remember one
night I could not sleep for the racket the racoons were making in the campground. Cute, but
they could be a real nusiance. Thanks for writing the more detailed description of the Burning
Man experience - we even have a link to Farr Associates - I feel honored! I take it you hope
to return next year. The dust must have been something. I will check out the regular web site.

Back to the coast ride - the sun sets
are so fantastic - and all the views of the coast but I have to admit that in looking at your Spring Break photos - the water was so blue - and beautiful girls too! That appears to have been a lot of fun with many of your
buddies. Ah to be young! My parents took the whole family on a cruise for their 50th wedding
annive -- but that was 15 years ago. We went thru the Panama Canal.
Did a fast ride today and completed my personal best time. Over 48 miles I averaged 18.0 miles
per hour! This was with a pace line - but still. . We were flying!
Had the retirement party for Jim Mooney on Friday. I am really doing to miss him -even when he
is screaming at his computer. You would like the new guys - Kevin and Steve. Jonathan quit and
we have a new women (she got laid off a BB&T subsiderary job - outsourcing to India)- some experiment. I think
she will work out fine. The words seems to run off the page, so I am hitting the return key, so
I can see all the stuff I type.

Hope the weekend trip went well\- Take Care and again thanks for all story. Cheers - Annie
